Privacy Policy

Who we are

GrooveVampire.com is an independent music platform for Goth, Industrial, Darkwave, EBM, Synthwave, Post-Punk, and related dark alternative music.

This policy explains what information GrooveVampire receives, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors, account holders, artists, and commenters. It is a general description of current site practices and is not legal advice.

Information you provide

When you create an artist account, we collect the username, email address, password in WordPress-protected form, and any profile information you choose to provide. When you submit a track, we collect the track title, notes, genre, audio file, account that submitted it, rights confirmation, review status, and related media metadata. When you post a comment, we collect the comment text, account identity, and the playback timestamp attached to the comment.

Information collected automatically

WordPress, the hosting environment, security tools, and caching tools may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser and device details, date and time, referring page, and error or security information. This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, review and publish artist submissions, deliver audio and pages, display public artist content and approved comments, prevent abuse, respond to support or copyright requests, maintain backups, and comply with legal obligations.

Public content

Artist usernames or display names, profile information, published tracks, track notes, and approved comments may be visible to the public. Do not submit information you want kept private. Track files are stored with the WordPress media system on the site’s hosting environment and remain subject to review, removal, and account moderation.

Cookies and login sessions

WordPress uses cookies and related browser storage to maintain login sessions, remember selected preferences, support security checks, and provide basic site functionality. If you comment or log in, your browser may retain information needed to make later visits work correctly. You can control cookies through your browser, but disabling them may prevent account or upload features from working.

When information is shared

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by WordPress, Hostinger, security and caching services, email or password-reset delivery services, and other providers only as needed to host, secure, maintain, or operate the site. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the site and its users, or to investigate suspected abuse, fraud, or rights violations.

Comments and third-party services

Comments are handled through WordPress. WordPress may process the information included with a comment and technical information used for spam and security checks. Embedded content or links from other websites may be governed by those websites’ own privacy policies.

Retention

Account information is kept while an account is active or as needed for security and administration. Submitted tracks, comments, moderation records, and backups may remain for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, enforce these policies, or meet legal obligations. We may remove or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

Your choices

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to reasonable identity verification and information we must keep for security, legal, or administrative reasons. You may also request removal of content you submitted, although records needed to investigate rights disputes or abuse may be retained.

Contact

For privacy, account, or copyright questions, contact the site operator through the official contact channel published by GrooveVampire. The operator should keep that contact information current on this page before opening the service to a larger public audience.

Updates

This policy may be updated when the site, its features, or its service providers change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
